The city of Deerfield Beach was once a watering stop for Henry Flagler's Railroad from the late 1800's for travelers on their way to Miami and to Key West. Nowadays, Deerfield Beach enjoys a relaxed atmosphere situated roughly between Fort Lauderdale to the south and Palm Beach to the north. Home to about 77,000 year-round residents, the housing is similar to what you'd find in other coastal communities: plenty of beachfront condominiums, homes from the 1950's and 1960's east of I-95 and newer communities further west.
